All the movies
on should display correctly on all types of Windows operating
systems including Win98, WinME, Win2000, WinXP and MSVista. They
also are tested in Mozilla Firefox and should work with Netscape
Navigator.
A Note about Mozilla Firefox
If the movie window shows, but the movie does not play, you may
have a problem with a Mozilla Plug-in. Double Click the following
EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions. Reload the Paudash
home page and the movie should play.

A Note about ActiveX Control
Depending on your security settings, you may be prompted from
our homepage to run ActiveX Control. This is a normal request.
Click to allow and the movie should begin.
A Note about WinVista, WinXP and Internet Explorer 7.0 (IE7)
If you are running IE7 then you may need to change a setting for
our movies to play correctly:
-
Open IE7
-
Click "Tools"
-
Click "Internet
Options"
-
Click the
"Security" tab
-
Click "Custom
Level" (near the bottom of the window)
-
Click "Internet
Options"
-
Scroll down the
list to find "Display video and animation on a webpage that does
not use external media player" and click the "ENABLE" button.
-
Click "OK"
-
Accept the prompt
to update the changes
-
Reload the
www.aquilosilkenwindhounds.com
home page.

A Note WinXP for Internet Explorer 6.0 (IE6)
On some versions of WinXP (especially
those with IE6 and Media Player 10), the movies occasionally seem to
time out, crash, or stop responding and then the page freezes after
roughly 30 seconds. Sometimes a window might also pop up telling
you there has been an error and that Internet Explorer is forced to
close. The cause often seems to be related to a problem with a
missing music codec on your own PC (and not a problem in the movie
itself). The best thing to do is update your system from the regular
Microsoft update link at:
http://update.microsoft.com
Alternatively, the following patch is one that was downloaded from
Microsoft and seems to do the trick FOR XP USERS ONLY (not sure what
it will do with Win2000, Win98 or Win95). Click on the link to
activate the patch or right click and save to your hard drive. Once
you install the fix, you might need to reboot.
